Somewhere In the Backroads

Somewhere in the Backroads was photographed in a remote valley outside Steamboat Springs, Colorado the morning after a winter storm covered the landscape in fresh snow. While driving backroads after the storm, I crossed paths with a couple riding horses through their land and asked to follow at a distance to make a few frames. Shot on a Leica M6 with Portra 400, the image captures a quiet, unplanned winter moment shaped by weather, landscape, and chance.
