Chocolate Sea

Seen from above, the surfer moves against the current, paddling with quiet determination across a sea that is anything but still. Beneath his board, the ocean tells a different story: the swell stirs the sandy bottom, clouds the water, brings matter back to the surface. Clear turquoise fractures, marbles, deepens into brown — like melted chocolate blending into the colors of summer.
