Fire & Ice
This isn't an abstract painting; it's the Minas de Rio Tinto in Spain seen from directly above. I call this image 'Fire & Ice' because of the violent clash between the vivid orange runoff from decades of copper mining and the cold grey earth surrounding it. I used the top-down drone perspective to flatten the landscape into pure texture and color. It’s a disturbing yet mesmerizing look at how industrial scars can create unintentional, almost alien palettes.
