Gates
For someone who has never been to a rodeo, it begins in the first moments, breath held, unsure of what to expect. Then the gates are swing open and the first cowboy flys out if the chutes. Dirt flying, crowd erupting, and in that instance a new world is reviled. It's raw, loud, and a feeling that carries on long after the dust settles. Impossible to re-experience, just a memory that lingers.
