Brian Bent and his Kookbox

When I began my Surf photography journey almost 9 years ago Brian Bent was one of the first to believe in me. He's an incredible artist and surfer. This image was captured on my Nikonos V after capturing some surf images with Brian at his local break Doheny. I anticipated shooting it all in the water but I had a few shots left and spent one of those few left on this moment that felt so pure and true to the artist and surfer that Brian is.

Titus Haug is a photographic documentarian specializing in Surf Photography on film and adventure photography. For the past 9 years I've been working on a long form surf photography project shot on 35mm film.
